ECDA 2026

Submissions Now Open

Submissions are now open for East Coast Dance Arts via FilmFreeway, with entries closing on 31 December. We welcome work from emerging and established artists, choreographers, filmmakers, companies and collectives working across screendance, dance film and experimental dance-on-screen, where movement, choreography, the body, image, sound or performance are central to the work. Works in progress are very welcome, and artists may also submit choreographic works or proposals for live performance for consideration as part of the festival programme. Submissions are made through FilmFreeway, where you can upload your film or provide a viewing link, project information, credits and supporting material.

All submissions are considered through a curated selection process, and submission does not guarantee inclusion in the festival. Artists must hold the necessary rights and permissions for all material included in their work. If selected, artists will be asked to provide a final screening file and relevant promotional materials by the stated deadline, and selected work may be presented as part of East Coast Dance Arts screenings, showcases, broadcasts, artist conversations or related festival events. Copyright remains with the artist, while selected artists grant East Coast Dance Arts permission to use supplied stills, clips and project information for festival promotion and documentation. Submit your film, work in progress or choreographic proposal through FilmFreeway by 31 December.
